Nyes Collaborative was pleased to support Kevin Wang over 2013/2014, one of its Junior Collaborators. Kevin has long been interested in the principles of patient safety and quality of care. For three months in the middle of this year he was based in Beijing, China, helping two hospitals implement a sustainable patient safety program. His work introduced methods by which to improve patient safety climate and engagement with local hospitals. Methods included the comprehensive unit-based safety program and the use of locally-validated patient safety attitude questionnaires. He is also assisted hospitals in integrating evidence-based guidelines into day-to-day policies and practices. For more information on Kevin’s work, email him here.
